EXAMPLE 1 During an episode of care social activities can include family therapy, medical treatment of subject of care abusing their partner and supporting talk therapy for the partner. A health approach can be restricted to talk therapy for the partner (with the goal to make them more calm).

EXAMPLE 2 During an episode of care a subject of care with diabetes mellitus is monitored and prescribed medication, self-control of habits of living. A health approach can mean that the blood glucose value shall be kept between 5 mmol/l and 8 mmol/l

Note 1 to entry: While the episode of care focuses the health issue addressed by the activities, the health approach focuses the desired outcome of these activities.
