Note 1 to entry: Groupings or subdivisions of an organization such as departments or sub-departments, may also be considered as organizations where there is need to identify them. The internal structure of an organization is described by its organizational pattern Therefore, an organization may be considered in itself as a standalone organization or as a superstructure containing departments and sub-departments, for instance, other lower level organizations. A care organization represents the role any such organization plays when it is involved in the direct provision of care activities.
Note 2 to entry: A care organization represents the role any such organization plays when it is involved in the provision of social care activities.
Note 3 to entry: A care organization relies on the activity performed by care personnel whether employed, contracting or with temporary informal though functional relationships between them.
Note 4 to entry: A care team working together, for example, a specific type of clinical process with participants from different departments is also a kind of care organization
Note 5 to entry: A free-standing self-employed solo practising care professional shall be considered as the only member of his/her own care organization
Note 6 to entry: Organizations may have a number of different roles. When an organization acts in a role where its care personnel participate in the direct provision of care it is a care organization
